Dear Pa and Nana,

I had a wonderful birthday. Thanks for your gift - I think I will put it towards getting a new bike. I have made a post on Katherine's Diary all about my busy birthday weekend.

All my friends up here have made me feel like I belong. It's like we're family. So, although it would have been great to spend my birthday down in Melbourne, I'm really glad I got to share it with my new friends.
